NAMIWalks Chicago 2018 was Saturday, September 15th, 2018! The day brought together 1,500 friends and neighbors, walking to bring awareness to mental health issues, fight stigma and raise funds for critical mental health services.
Thanks to you, we raised $231,395 for our mission, surpassing our fundraising goal! Stay tuned for our 2019 date, to be announced soon.
Chicago’s NAMIWalks is FREE and open to everyone in the community. Fundraising is encouraged, but not required. Walkers can request donations on behalf of their participation using their fundraising page, which is automatically generated when registering online. All walkers who raise $100 or more as an individual receive one free t-shirt on the day of the walk!
The event features live music, giveaways, refreshments, face painters, bounce castles, and more! Teams of walkers show their team pride with unique t-shirts or outfits. Organizations, individuals, and families (pups included!) walk together in solidarity showing their support for improving mental health awareness. The scenic backdrop of the Chicago skyline, Lake Michigan, Grant Park, and the museum campus allows for breathtaking photographs and a great time for all.
