Support groups offer peer support for individuals living in recovery with a mental health condition, as well as their family and friends. Unlike therapeutic groups, peer support groups are led by trained volunteers with lived experience with mental illness or a family member. All support groups are free, do not require insurance, and are held on a drop-in basis with no required length of participation.

NAMI Chicago hosts several support groups in English and Spanish. Please feel free to call our office at (312) 563-0445 if you have any questions, or to confirm that a meeting will be taking place as scheduled.
