NAMI Chicago’s Family-to-Family is a free, 8-week class for family members, friends and significant others of adults living with mental health conditions. The class is taught by trained family members with lived experience, so you’ll learn alongside people who understand what it’s like to support someone you love.
What You’ll Learn
During the class, you’ll:
Learn about mental health conditions and how they affect the brain
Build skills to communicate more effectively with your loved one
Learn strategies for navigating crises
Connect with local resources and support
Strengthen your own self-care and coping strategies

Can’t Make This Class?
We encourage you to attend all 8 classes, but if you miss the first week or two, you can still join! Registration will remain open through November 4. If this class doesn’t work for you but you want to be notified about future classes, email us at recovery@namichicago.org.
